Metalloproteins are attractive biomolecules, because a metal ion in a protein matrix have a great potential to provide catalytic, sensing and/or storage properties. Our group has focused on understanding the molecular mechanism of several heme and nonheme proteins and modifying those metalloproteins to generate new nanobiomaterials.
